About the event
Guest speaker will be Karma Thomas, Pollinator ecologist with a background in science education.
Karma works in the Vegetable Entomology Lab at MSU and co-leads the Bee Urban Growers Project, supporting native pollinators and local food systems with urban farmers and community members. They hold an M.S. from Syracuse University and have experience as an adjunct professor and native plant landscaper.
A presentation under the pavilion at Motz Park will conclude with a trip across the road to Clinton Lakes to see a native prairie restoration.
