Gary Fritz, Executive Director: Fritz started as the Executive Director in April of 2007. He had a successful business career focusing on manufacturing and technology until retiring in 2004. Looking for a new challenge, he wanted to serve the public and give something back to the community. Contact Gary
Joe Woodruff, Conservation Technical Assistance Initiative (CTAI) Specialist: Woodruff is the CTAI Specialist for the Clinton Conservation District and also works with the groundwater stewardship program. As a CTAI Specialist, he assists NRCS with implementing the Farm Bill Program in Clinton, Ionia and Eaton Counties.
Woodruff graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Biology and minors in Natural Resources and Earth Science. Woodruff has been working for the District since 2002 and is always eager to help citizens of the county. Contact Joe
Marilyn Thelen, Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance (MAEAP) Specialist: Thelen is the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance (MAEAP) Specialist serving Clinton County.
Thelen earned her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees from Michigan State University.
She began her career as an Ag Agent in Clinton County serving the county for 4 years before taking a position with the Michigan Department of Agriculture. In 2001, Thelen returned to Clinton County in a joint appointment with the Clinton Conservation District and MSU Extension. Contact Marilyn
John Switzer, Forester / CIG Specialist Switzer started in June 2007. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a BS in Forestry and is currently enrolled in evening classes at Lansing Community College where is working towards a degree in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). He has worked as a GIS Intern with the Michigan Department of Environment Quality, a Utility Forester at ACRT, Inc., and done volunteer work with NRCS. Contact John
Bonnie Hettler, Bookkeeper: Hettler has been a temporary program technician with the Farm Service Agency in St. Johns since 1998, working with various farm programs. She started with the Clinton Conservation District in 2001 to assist with bookkeeping duties during the semi-annual tree sales and signed on as permanent part-time bookkeeper in 2004. Contact Bonnie
